WHAT SIGHTS WILL YOU ENCOUNTER ON OUR TOUR?

WASHINGTON MONUMENT

This iconic memorial is a tribute to President George Washington, Commander in Chief of the American army during the Revolutionary War and America’s first president. In 1793, the Continental Congress voted to build the monument that would take over a century to plan and build due to the lack of funding. Washington himself even scrapped the memorial’s plans, as he didn’t want to use public money for the project.

WHITE HOUSE

The White House, whose site was selected by George Washington, is the people’s house. It’s a place that is steeped with rich history and housed every American President since John Adams.

WWII MEMORIAL

The World War II Memorial honors the 16 million citizens who served in the armed forces of the U.S. and the more than 400,000 who died. The memorial includes The Freedom Wall, which is comprised of 4,048 gold stars. Each gold star represents one hundred American service personnel who died or remain missing in the war.

KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL

This memorial honors those who served in the armed forces and the more than 40,000 Americans who died in the Korean War. This memorial of the exceptionally bloody war against aggression reminds the world that freedom is not free.

VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial recognizes the men and women who served and sacrificed their lives in the Vietnam War. Inscribed on the black granite walls are the names of more than 58,000 men and women who gave their lives or remain missing.

LINCOLN MEMORIAL

In this temple, as in the hearts of the people for whom he saved the Union, the memory of Abraham Lincoln is enshrined forever.
